I was worried about your reception of this one...I felt I had to deviate from the picture I was using, because his mouth was open a bit too much. Rather than close his mouth a little bit, I thought that having him a little tight-lipped would convey more of the resolve and pensiveness that I remembered him having. When I drew it closed, he seemed to look much older than an 8 year old should look. But, when you guys visited over Thanksgiving, Dominic reminded me that he is actually as smart and mature as a 30 year old, just penned up in a little boy's body-so I guess it turned out to be pretty descriptive of what he's really like.
Well, you have to remember that I haven't been studying the photo the way you and Fr. Barry have been, so the difference is not so obvious to me. I though you really captured him. He does seem older every day!
